Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be instrumental in the selection, development, and reduction to practice of modern molecular biology techniques to enable optimal expression vector design, genetic engineering of cell lines, and sequence analyses.
The ideal candidate will apply their knowledge of genetics and nucleic acid biochemistry to overcome internal process bottlenecks, develop creative solutions, and guide client’s discovery and lead optimization efforts.
Our molecular biologist must have proven problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Presenting results regularly at R&D and project meetings and contributing expertise to cross-functional teams throughout Aragen.
Required Educational Qualification & Relevant experience
PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular/Cellular biology, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
5+ years of research experience in an academic or industry setting, and outstanding scientific and personal skills
Expertise in molecular biology techniques, including cloning, qPCR, library preparation and RNA handling knowledge.
Experience with phage display, humanization and affinity maturation would be an advantage.
Experience in mammalian cell culture methods, transfection and setting up cellular assays.
Demonstrated ability to identify and integrate technologies that improve or expand the ability to engineer molecules by working with teammates and clients, and staying abreast of the literature
Excellent documentation of experiments, and sample tracking using an ELN.
