Understanding ofOrganic & Analytical Chemistry and designing of synthetic routes

Ability to executechemical reactions with appropriate laboratory techniques and interpretanalytical results

Responsibilities–

·        Ability toconduct experiments and allied activities:

o  Must have hands on experience in all aspectsof project initiation

§ Literature search

§ Propose possible Route of Synthesis (RoS)

§ Understand reaction mechanism

o  Ability to conduct experiments and monitorreactions with the aid of minimum supervision

o  Conducting lab validation experiments,compiling data & preparation of batch/development report

o  Adherence to online documentation, qualitystandards, safety standards & delivery timelines

o  Ability to suggest ways of processoptimization and come up with what-ifstudies

o  Must have hands on experience in handlingimpurity profiling & in-process controls

o  Conduct consistency experiments, Labvalidation experiments & development report preparation

o  Provide necessary support to kilolab/manufacturing team

o  Meeting project timelines, RMC & qualityparameters

o  Online maintenance of GLP & documentationas appropriate

o  Ensuring full adherence to safety &quality SOPs

·        Ensuresafety at work through enforcement of good laboratory practices:

o   Follow safety & quality systems in thelabs

o   Maintenance and usage ofequipment/apparatus/instruments as per SOPs and general housekeeping norms

o   Guide team members/juniors on safety protocolsand ensure compliance

·        Maintainrecords, data integrity and IP confidentiality:

o   Document the reactions executed, researchfindings/observations accurately in lab notebooks to ensure data integrity

o   Maintain strict IP Confidentiality and adhereto all policies

o   To prepare the final reports as required

·        Ensureskill development of self:

o  Improve knowledge of organicchemistry/Analytical techniques through one-on-one discussions with supervisor/regular classroom trainings/ project trainings/ further educational programsetc.

o   Focus ondeveloping behavioural competencies through behavioural training workshops andfeedback discussion with manager.
