Principal Scientific Manager-Invivo

This role is responsible for project deliverables ofmultiple collaborations with customer delight through scientific guidance andeffective stakeholder/ resource management while ensuring effective resourcemanagement and adherence to project timelines.

Technical/Scientific Skills:

•             PhD withat least 12 years of work experience in mouse models of one or more diseaseareas - Oncology, Immuno-oncology, Autoimmunity, Fibrosis, Neurologicaldiseases

•             Demonstratedexperience in in-vivo dosing techniques in rodents such as oral,intraperitoneal, subcutaneous, intravenous

•             Demonstratedexperience in in-vivo sampling techniques in rodents such as cardiac andretro-orbital bleeds, necropsy and organ harvest

•             Experiencein survival surgery in mice is desirable

•             Demonstratedexperience in independently driving the planning, development and execution ofthe in-vivo pharmacology strategy

•             Demonstratedexperience in writing, presenting and discussing in-vivo pharmacology with bothinternal and external stakeholders

•             Strongexperience in analytical skills and ability to interpret complex non-clinicaldata sets

•             Provensuccess in leading and managing in a matrixed environment and external partners

•             Experiencein Integrated Drug Discovery projects is preferred

 

Responsibilities –

Effectively manage research collaborations:

•             Responsiblefor research partner engagement and retention for all collaborations

•             Regular/periodicupdate on studies & interpretation of data to research partners

•             Ensureenhanced customer satisfaction score

Effectively manage operations:

•             Partnerwith cross functional teams and serves as the subject matter expert in in-vivopharmacology

•             Leaddiscussions related to in-vivo pharmacology during meetings with partners andcollaborators

•             Understandresearch partner requirements through identification of project scope andensure project planning & deliverables

•             Identifyand mitigate project risks. Review projects periodically with project managers/team against project plan and timelines as per requirements

•             Collaborateand influence internal stakeholders/other departments (e.g. Project Management,HR, IT, SCM etc.) to provide required resources/ services

•             Maintaina high standard for good laboratory, compliance and ethics

•             Actcollaboratively, with constant exchange of ideas, to advance innovation

Provide support to sales/ pre-sales team:

•             Providesales team with scientific capabilities and infrastructure related details forbusiness growth

•             Validatethe project feasibility and ensure necessary inputs are provided to proposal/S&M team

Maintain data integrity & ensure safety at work:

•             Maintainand ensure strict data integrity and adhere to related policies

•             Developnecessary SOPs to ensure safety in the area of work and ensure that they staycurrent

•             Monitorusage of equipment/instruments as per SOPs and general housekeeping norms.

Ensure high morale and skill development of team:

•             Selectand retain right talent

•             Train anddevelop team members through knowledge sharing sessions & nominate fortraining programs

•             Regularlyreview performance of the team
