Chemical Development Solutions
Responsibilities –
· Improve delivery efficiency and quality through delivery management:
o Understand the synthetic route and client requirements from supervisor
o Search literature to design and plan reactions as per the available infrastructure, in consultation with supervisor
o Coordinate with relevant department for procurement of required chemicals and delivery of final compounds
o Understand and discuss the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) with supervisor/ team members
o Identify and execute suitable and efficient purification techniques
o Interpret analytical results from techniqueslike IR, 1HNMR & mass, HPLC etc. and discuss with supervisor
o Monitor and ensure updation of all lab note books in a timely manner
o Maintain productivity ( as specified) and quality by taking guidance from superiors to meet targets on quantity & quality of output as per project timelines
· Ensure seamless execution of project through effective planning:
o Support to supervisor to prepare weekly, monthly , final Reports and cost sheets
o Plan for “What if” reactions as per the process requirements
o Propose in-process and isolated intermediate/ final product specification in co-ordination with Analytical & supervisor
o Preparation of CBR (Consistency Batch Report)
· Build lasting client relationship:
o Sit through client’s teleconferences and understand project requirements
o Analyze client’s feedback and propose solutions to supervisor to resolve their queries/ issues
· Ensure safety at work through enforcement of best lab management practices:
o Implement safety and quality systems in the labs and communicate the same to team members
o Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure functionality of equipment
o Participate in HAZOP (Hazard and operability) studies to evaluate underlying risk to personnel or lab equipment's
· Maintain records, data integrity and IP confidentiality:
o Update all lab note books/ ELNBs in a timely manner as required by the client
o Maintain IP confidentiality and adhere to all related policies
o Preparation of weekly & final reports as required
· Ensure high morale and skill development of self and team:
o Guiding a team of chemists to meet productivity/ quality targets
o Train and develop team members
o Improve knowledge of organic chemistry (particularly synthesis)/ Analytical techniques etc. through one on one discussion with supervisor/ regular classroom trainings/ project trainings/ further education programs etc.
