Many hybridoma cell lines, especially those identified early on in a discovery program, can be very unstable due to a variety of factors like clonality, chromosomal rearrangement and other metabolic stresses. Aragen’s antibody discovery team offers immediate subcloning solutions at the earliest sign of instability in hybridoma cultures. Our robust subcloning process has rescued a few high value hybridomas for clients.
Subclone screening employs high throughput ELISA and FACS based assays. Upon completion, we bank (cryopreserve) at least 3-5 subcloned hybridomas to ship for additional testing, if required. In addition to in-house developed hybridomas, we offer subcloning for hybridomas supplied by our customers.
