Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient project delivery:
- Provide scientific guidance to team members and troubleshoot for efficient delivery of projects
- Finalize project estimates and share with the client
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders/other departments (e.g. Analytical, Project Management, HR, IT, Admin, Maintenance etc.) for required resources/ services
- Monitor and review project progress to ensure adherence to quality standards/ timelines
- Guide the team on the usage of advanced analytical techniques
- Examine and sign lab note books of the team
- Share final project reports with the client
- Provide scientific leadership to the team:
- Evaluate and design efficient synthetic routes
- Guide the team on appropriate reaction parameters, process optimization & development for a cost effective execution
- Conduct regular scientific review meeting with the team
- Manage project cost and ensure efficient utilization of resources:
- Plan & allocate optimum resources (manpower, materials and infrastructure) for the project
- Improve profitability through efficient management of all allocated resources
- Build and strengthen client relationship by delivering a superior client experience:
- Responsible for client retention and ensure increased customer satisfaction
- Understand client requirements and proactively communicate with the client to meet expectations
- Provide periodic project related updates to the client
- Ensure safety at work through enforcement of good laboratory practices:
- Implement safety protocols in the labs and train the team members
- Ensure adequate infrastructure and processes are in place for safe execution
- Identify and mitigate potential safety risks
- Responsible for safety audit readiness
- Maintain records, data integrity and IP confidentiality:
- Train team on LNB documentation, Data Integrity and IP Confidentiality protocols
- Ensure accuracy of LNB records updated by team
- Responsible for LNB records audit readiness
- Ensure high morale and skill development of team:
- Participate in recruitment process
- Recognize and retain best talent through various reward & recognition programs
- Regularly review performance of the team to identify areas of improvement
- Train and develop team members through Learning & Development programs
- Mentor team members
Required Educational Qualification & Relevant experience
- PhD with Organic Chemistry/Medicinal chemistry -5-8 years of experience
- Candidates with Research publications would be preferred
